Forum Title: Help Identifying Window Manufacturer
Hello everyone. Unfortunately this morning my son and I had a bit of a mishap with a football (apparently I didn't listen to my parents growing up about no ball in the house). We managed to break the interior pane of a single hung windows. I am trying to identify the manufacturer of our windows and having difficult time. The only marking I can find is down in the lower corner. There appears to be the following engraved (though a bit hard to read). WS-S (small text) LP (large logo text) 98-4 (small text) The only thing that I can find is maybe Louisiana Pacific, which no longer makes windows. I guess they sold off their window division to a company in Ohio which closed operations not long after. The house was built in 1998. If anyone can set me straight if I am off, then I would be very appreciate. Thanks in advance, Mike

I would pull that operator out and measure it. You might be able to find another operator that will fit, albeit with a crank or knob. Here is just one site I found after searching for casement window hardware. Clicking on the operator calls up a picture with dimensions.

You don't need the name of the maufacturer to replace an insulating glass unit. As Pulpo posted, bring it to a glass shop or have them come to the home.
